Animal Assisted Strategic Psychotherapist
Lea O'Meara is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Strategic Psychotherapist, NLP Practioner, Early Childhood Educator
and is currently studying her Diploma in Mental Health.
Lea is passionate about combining Animal Assisted Interactions and Psychotherapy (AAI, AAP) in her sessions with all people, including neurodivergent individuals, young people and kids.
Lea absolutely loves animals and works with her therapy kittens Cozmo and Tiger-Lily.
Lea uses the most modern form of hypnotherapy, Neo-Ericksonian Hypnosis. This permissive style is highly effective with most with adults, young people and kids. Lea uses unique story telling with kids that allows them to focus their attention, while delivering therapeutic messages relating to the issues they are experiencing. The approach with adults is slightly different, however the goal is the same.
Lea combines all of her qualifications to deliver a warm, friendly and solution orientated approach. Lea believes therapy can be fun and engaging and by focusing on individual strengths and resources clients can learn to adapt new ways of thinking, and address the issues they are experiencing. Lea offers a safe, non – judgmental space allowing all clients to be seen, heard and recognized as
people beyond the challenges they are facing.
Lea works with a variety of conditions including anxiety, anger, panic attacks, emotional regulation, unwanted thought patterns, mild depression, grief, low self-esteem, phobias, obsessive compulsive behaviours, pain, insomnia, mild trauma and smoking cessation. Lea has a particular interest in working with kids experiencing grief, anger and neurodivergent individuals.
