Deborah Biderman — Strategic Psychotherapist
With a background in Mental Health Support services, and extensive experience working with Guide Dogs Australia assisting blind Australians to gain independence through capacity building, Deborah works extensively with children and adults with visual and physical disabilities, complex mental illness, and men’s issues for a variety of concerns such as anxiety and moderate depression.
Amanda Barber — Strategic Psychotherapist
With seven years experience working in Aged and Disability Support Services in local Governments, Amanda works extensively with older teens and adults, in particular PTSD and complex trauma, family and relationship issues, and women’s issues for a variety of concerns, such as anxiety and moderate depression. Amanda is especially interested in behaviour and is undergoing a Masters of Science in Communication and Behaviour Analysis.
We work extensively with NDIS and Allied Health to support the wellbeing of the local community, including those with disabilities and mental illness. Our staff each have extended backgrounds in working in the mental health and disability sectors and utilize a person cantered approach to ensure our clients are seen, heard, and regarded as much more than their illness or disability. Our services include and extend beyond counselling, as we undertake a strategic approach to assist individuals to develop new cognitive and emotional skills and capacities, to move beyond their current circumstances.

We provide strategic psychotherapy, clinical hypnotherapy, counselling, massage and art therapy services.
How to Refer to us
As we are a new centre we currently do not have a waiting list, and you can expect your client to be seen in 1-2 weeks from referral.

Who to and not to, refer to us
While we work with people with special needs, and mental illness, on areas of their experience such as anxiety, and mild to moderate depression, as well as building cognitive and emotional skills, within a network of health–treating and/or diagnosing or assessing, mental illness and/or disabilities falls outside of our scope, and should be referred to a psychologist.
